My esteemed flatmate has been working with photographer Immo Klink so when she showed me his ‘Reportage’ pics they immediately started an LFW-themed train of thought.

It’s going to be weird doing a London Fashion Week as a freelancer, I’m kind of floating serenely above all the madness. I haven’t been lying awake with worry, planning schedules and trying to find interns that wont quit as soon as they discover they wont get into shows (Kim and Pui-Tien you were amazing!) It is really exciting to work a fashion week as a fashion journalist but it also serves as a crushing reminder of your place in the pecking order. I’d say the most exciting thing was the buzz from seeing newcomers like Mark Fast, and immediately knowing they would be big news in the fashion industry.
Immo Klink’s pictures remind me of the contrast between the excitement of the shows and the ordinariness backstage. I makes me think of a female photographer who was recently featured in Elle I think… can’t remember who, can you help? Anyway the images are great, and they just show all the hard work and effort involved in organising catwalk shows.

*The one thing I really wont miss is the loud music. I remember literally running from my seat at the William Tempest show because I was right behind a speaker. Ouch.
