Yellow colourpunch wanted for nude & grey outfit, must be solvent and have GSOH.

There’s something about yellow accessories that’s tugging on my Uniqlo men’s cardigan at the moment. Like a small child calling me: “Iso! Isoisosiso! Isooooo!” (my nickname) Bright yellow is a bit Manhattan taxi, a bit Olivia Palermo (mm guilty pleasure), and bit late ’90s DKNY. It feels right with the sporty trend and as much as I love nude and blush shades I’m lusting after something a bit loud to crash into my outfit and give it some punch. True CMYK yellow isn’t the easiest colour to wear even with someone as corn-fed chicken toned as me. In fact unless you’re an Alek Wek shade of blue-black, yellow is a bit of a face nemesis which is why yellow accessories feel so right at the moment.

So, sitting in my bed still in pjs (what?! I’m working!) I’ve silenced the small inner child by ordering this gorgeous bright Ri2k handbag. Feels like being a royal, especially as my flatmate has just come in with some pannetone with tons of butter and Palais des Thes Earl Grey, mm. Back to the bag, it’s a little sloaney, un peu bcbg, which is exactly what the doctor ordered and contrasts nicely with the bright colour. The bag really satisfies my neon punch cravings and is made from genuine leather which looks really soft. Can’t wait to tote it around with the grey wool mens trousers that have been languishing at the bottom of my wardrobe for a year. I can also see them working well with the most dreamy delicate dove grey suede lace up shoes I bought from the chazza recently, with the nude/powermesh dress I made from a car boot skirt… Pics to follow!

Ps- Did anyone else lust after the DKNY jelly heeled jelly shoes that were THE thing to have in 1997 or thereabouts? I remember being terrified and going into the DKNY shop with my mum, all wide spaces, bouncers and escalators but sadly they were out of stock and I bought the Red or Dead ones instead. Schweaty.
