This blog comes to you by the magic process of handwriting on the tube, and putting up the pictures at home and then writing it up on the canteen computers as work which use IE6. I KNOW, I am blogger, feel my pain. Anyway bla bla, the words might be a bit different from usual, but enjoy the clothes! Here we go…
Robinson Pfeffer held a press preview yesterday and apart from the loud music (what can I say? I’m a soon to be 28 year old with a hearing aid!) it was all killer no filler, pretty much every brand had something to offer.

I’m not so familiar with Tina Kalivas, other than I saw a Selby shoot with her in that blew my mind a little, and made me fall in love. African fabrics are a favourite and she duly worked her magic to bring us something that isn’t too reminiscent of Arrested Development (the band, not the TV show.. I would totally buy Arrested Development Tv show fashion.
Bustiers, hot skirts and eye-poping dresses in mesh and the African pagne are a no-brainer, of course they photograph better than simple Stolen Girlfriends type stuff but up close the clothes are so… cool. Lazy I know but they are! I would love to see someone wear her stuff on the red carpet, but who? Answers on a postcard.

Alpha 60 have some great panelled dresses, but I have my eye on the luxe men’s bombers, similarly panelled in dusty desert tones.I also spotted a photocopy print dress, amazing and perfect for an office party in my stupid opinion. Maybe one day when digital printing is cheap and quick we can go to performances where you photocopy your face and then get given a dress or t-shirt with someone else’s face.

Is Stolen Girlfriend’s Club the fashion bloggers’ favourite label? I think so. I like what I’ve seen so far of SGC which isn’t much but this press day had three, three! rails of SGC goodness. The fluoro leggings were there as well as a gorgeously simple mesh tee that set me off on a clothes daydream thinking what of all the things to pair it with. They had two-tone nude and black jeans like the ‘business at the front, party at the back’ Chanel tights, although with these jeans the party was at the back, hmm. Maybe following mullet rules. Also, I am currently on the hunt for the perfect pair of slim, tailored, grey trousers, basically like a pair that I already own but don’t crease to fuck within 15 minutes. Stolen Girlfriends Club may have come up with the goods (2nd from left.)

The Sosume t-shirts called out to me, the rails had layers upon layers of fine, soft, sheer shirts so dreamy and ethereal. I’d love to wear three at once for maximum effect.

First for Zambesi up was a graphic style broderie anglaise halter frock, sharp, clean and pure summer in a dress. WANT. I’ve never heard of this label before but they had lots of really interesting minimal pieces, kind of like COS with bells on. Next level sheer with nylon and jersey shorts, ticking off the sporty trend too, and an amazing blazer with light cotton sleeves that exposed the lining and interfacing.
They also had exciting elastic harnesses, in black, white and a coral-red which is the only kind of red I can stand to wear. The harnesses would be hamazon worn over a pretty dress in summer, with some sweet lace-ups. Thnaks to Miggy from POUT for holding stuff up for me!
Oh, btw Yasmin Sewell ex of Browns, now of Liberty, was there, and she is as relaxed and chic in the flesh as everyone makes out. Sac magique.
