Here’s comes a slightly shabby post courtesy of lunchtime blogging (don’t even talk to me about WEP codes) and my 5-yr old Shitcam©, but please look past the dog-earedness and learn to love. Whiteley’s held an event last night to launch their POP stores, quirky little boutiques with a nicely impermanent feel. Apparently Alice Dellal was there performing with her band ‘Thrush Metal’. I KNOW! I respect the gal for that. There was a whole host of celebs there in fact, but I saw none of them because I was busy talking to Laura from Fabsugar about politics and Elliot from Buckstyle about car boot sales while scoffing down All Star Lanes mini hamburgers.
It’s nice to be able to step out of the normality zone of a shopping centre and find fun jewellery and ceramics, also who doesn’t want a Michael Jackson as a dog coaster? Surface protection never looked so good. Highlight of the day was snapping a pic of the lady above on the Shitcam©. I was admiring the outfit so I asked her for a pic, she introduced herself as Thelma and said ‘Thelma Spiers. I make hats, Bernstock Spiers?’ At which point I blushed and said yesofcourse (omgomg). Just so you know, I had a bottle of champers courtesy of Pommery and when I arrived at my mums later on that evening she said I stunk of booze.
