A little later than planned here is my round-up of the Asos blogger event. It’s nice to have been a blogger for a fair few years now as when you go to these things you see familiar faces like Disney Rollergirl , Catherine from the brilliant Red Carpet Fashion Awards and Natalie from Canned Fashion (pictured above in THAT Lacoste cape), as well as new faces like the lovely Rachel from Random Fashion Coolness. The summer range was out & ready for us to try on and there were Illamsqua make up artists on hand to give mini makovers. I saw a few bloggers getting their hair done too, so by the time you were done you were ready for the camera, or catwalk if you had drunk enough champers were brave enough.
It was also nice to see some of the familiar Asos faces like Natalie who I seem to bump into all the time, and to finally meet Stephanie Of The Newsletter. It really felt like more of a cosy get-together than a press launch, although I suppose that’s the USP of a blogger event.
The real star of the night was Butters the pomeranian, pictured above with me and Natalie. Butters has his own Twitter account, you can follow at Butters the Pom. STOP PRESS: Butters has a blog, a dogblog. OMG. OMadog.
Back to the event, they gave us a generous gift card which I’ve used to buy the Hampson wedges I’m wearing in the pic above, they were unbelievably comfy and passed my ‘I don’t want to take them off so I’m gonna buy them’ test. I loo-ooved the printed harem trousers, but I’m currently dithering on prints so I plumped for the Mawi for Asos bangle to add a little glitz to my wardrobe as well as some other assorted bits and pieces that I can’t even remember any more! Also, doesn’t Laura from Asos look hawesome in their flowing Grecian gown? I thought it was slightly WAG-ish on the hanger, but it looks so much better on, beautiful colour and really amazing shape.
