This weekend one of my close friends got married, and as weird as I think weddings are this one was pretty cool. DJ on the gramaphone decks anyone? The bride wore a handmade yellow ra-ra dress, pretty special even without the yellow and white WAH mani. I’m not really sure what the beef is but I think getting married automatically makes you look 25% prettier than usual, I couldn’t stop staring like a lovestruck teen. The party afterwards was held on a boat going along the Thames, which is a wonderful way to spend a few hours I must say, and I recommend it to anyone.

I wore a pale Alberta Ferretti dress, a Zara blazer and a clutch from Beyond Retro, the shop for people who don’t have time for chazzas anymore (boohoo). I also road tested some COS sandals I got in the sale last year but never had a chance to wear, and I lasted about eight hours in them which is pretty good going. No pictures of the impressive ham that waited at the family home for us, it was like something from a Tom & Jerry cartoon.
The Sunday that followed was a magical buds day of car boot, Franco Manca pizza, and real Italian ice cream from Fouberts. It’s so nice to spend a leisurely days with pals when you don’t have anything pressing to do other than hang out and enjoy each others’ company. I also picked up these ’90s sandals for the pure nostalgia factor, I think they look pretty handsome stretched over my laceups, non?
