Mexico Essentials | IsabelleOC I'm starting to slog through some of the mammoth recaps from my holiday, here's a little light one for you from sunny beautiful Mexico. It was so unreal to lounge around on empty white sand beaches, total paradise experience. I get a kick out of trying lots of different beauty products on holiday, you hardly bother with makeup which makes a nice change. It's refreshing to get out of your everyday routine, from work to beauty to outfits. I did end up wearing my 60s floral shorts pretty much every day with a variety of tiny tops for maximum tannage. Also, who knew a margharita straw makes a perfect snorkel?

I’m starting to slog through some of the mammoth recaps from my holiday, here’s a little light one for you from sunny beautiful Mexico. It was so unreal to lounge around on empty white sand beaches, total paradise experience.

No matter how well you pack there’s always that feeling that if you’d remembered your 90s culottes the holiday would have somehow been better. This is a kind of rundown of the things I definitely didn’t regret bringing, the things that were lifesavers in the heat… But I still would have liked those 90s culottes. I did end up wearing my 60s floral shorts pretty much every day with a variety of tiny tops for maximum tannage. Also, who knew a margharita straw makes a perfect snorkel? You live and learn.

Beachy essentials from L’Occitane, Aveda and Dermalogica

I get a kick out of trying lots of different beauty products on holiday, you hardly bother with makeup which makes a nice change. It’s refreshing to get out of your everyday routine, from work to beauty to outfits. I usually use this Dermalogica cleanser but for holiday I switched to their simple gel cleanser, perfect for removing every scrap of suncream before bed. L’Occitane’s oil wash was a godsend to keep my skin moisturised and I didn’t take a picture but I’ve become addicted to Garnier’s 7 Days Body Lotion, it kept my sunned skin feeling softer than soft.

Last time I went somewhere really hot I totally fried my hair, so I made sure to take this Aveda protective hair veil which made my hair shinier than it usually is back home! It has UV filters and gorgeous oils that moisturise, I just reapplied after every dip in the sea.

Loved this travel size Payot’s Hydrofluide Serum, perfect for adding a non-greasy layer of moisture to my face.
