When I was invited to Kildare Village I was lucky enough to stay in the Fitzwilliam Hotel just off St Stephen’s Green in central Dublin. The location is incredible and the rooms are really, well, roomy.
I always sleep well in hotels and this was no exception, a giant bed with the softest sheets and downiest pillows ensured a sleep of kings. They’ve got lots of nice touches like extensive toiletries, a good selection of herbal teas and one of the heaviest dressing gowns I have ever had the pleasure of putting on.
Cut to the chase, the breakfast offered my favourite options of light starter plus cooked, so I went for a healthy bit of fruit and muesli with yoghurt and herbal to satisfy my inner yogi, then pigged out on their Irish cooked breakfast with coffee to satisfy my inner tapeworm. The Fitzwilliam Irish breakfast comes with not one but two kinds of pudding, both black and white and yall know how I feel about black pudding.
