The second part of my Grenson factory visit, I interviewed creative director Tim Little, a advertising man by trade who came into the shoe business after failing to find his perfect pair of dress shoes. You may have seen me tweet about my ‘clothes boyfriend’ aka the pile of clothes that sometimes lives on the other side of the bed, or moaning [...] My first encounter with flatforms were with some navy suede Hobbs loafers I picked up at a charity shop a while ago. Fast forward a few years adding a revival of brothel creepers and Spice Girl style Buffalo boots as well as the kiddy baroque shoes Nicholas Kirkwood created for Meadham Kirchhoff and flatforms are [...] Summer means a whole new wardrobe, I’ve unpacked all my dresses, tops and skirts for sunny weather and my room is looking a little like Oxford St Primark at the end of a Saturday. Except it’s mostly charity shop bargains and Uniqlo, natch. I’m quite picky when it [...] The Rupert Sanderson press day is always a serene thing of beauty, their lovely press office tucked away in a mews off Bond Street feels a million miles away from the madness of Soho and Oxford Street. Elegant heels is what Rupert Sanderson do best and there were definitely a few pairs that ticked the boxes, [...] Excuse the hollow-eyed look, I’ve not quite got the hang of GMT just yet, my body seems to want dinner at 3am. I’ve been pretty much wearing this outfit on and off for the last week, kind of gross huh? My sleep-deprived brain can’t be bothered to come up with anything else and the cashmere/silk combo is really useful for both cosiness and unexpected cycle-sweats.
