The second part of my Grenson factory visit, I interviewed creative director Tim Little, a advertising man by trade who came into the shoe business after failing to find his perfect pair of dress shoes. He is the man responsible for reviving Grenson and breathing life and humour into the brand. Northampton has been associated with footwear and shoemaking for hundreds of years, records show a Cordwainers street back in 1200. I have been known to rant on about how much I hate minibreaks, the totally tourist aspect makes me cringe HARD, so it was a delight to be taken around the city by [...] ‘Where are you? One Aldwych recently offered me the chance to stay in their hotel, I’m fairly familiar with the place as it’s just opposite Somerset House so perfect for Fashion Week meetings/industry types-spotting. I invited my sister along as a late birthday treat and from her text [...] Last week I was invited to Glyndebourne to photograph some of the amazing people who attend the opera and there were some brilliantly dressed operagoers, but you’ll have to wait till next week to take a look. The location is incredible and the rooms are really, well, roomy.
