Vogue’s Fashion Night Out was a bit of a whistlestop tour for me, but I still had a brilliant time checking out what everyone had to offer. My idea of a nightmare is Oxford Street on a Saturday, so it was with a bit of trepidation that I set out. I found myself wandering down Old Bond St just after sundown, it was balmy weather, the street was closed and all the crowds were milling around like a mediterranean town and I thought “ahhh, lovely”.

I recently spotted a woman with some amazing orthopaedic boots on Oxford Street, chunky platform creations, with a perforated leather upper. They were really rather wonderful but I thought as much as I wanted to, the woman probably wouldn’t have appreciated me taking a picture.
