When I was invited to Kildare Village I was lucky enough to stay in the Fitzwilliam Hotel just off St Stephen’s Green in central Dublin. The location is incredible and the rooms are really, well, roomy. I always sleep well in hotels and this was no exception, a giant bed with the softest sheets and downiest [...] Last week I found myself on a very brief, last minute trip to Dublin for work. Very glam and makes a change from usual sat in front of the comp in my house clothes routine. Part of the glamour came from a meal at Pichet, a French-style restaurant near Grafton street in the centre of [...] Unlike Harlequin, I’d never been to Smock in Dublin. I happily stumbled across this shop walking around the Powerscourt/St Georges street area and immediately fell in love with it. Smock operate under the tagline ‘we stock what we like’ and you do feel the love coming out of the pieces hanging on the rails. The [...] Dublin is kind of like Manchester for vintage shopping, it has those trad vintage shops where you can still get wildly patterned nylon dresses, velvet blazers and enormo-collar shirts that every britpop-era kid . Everytime I go to Dublin I make a bee-line straight to the charity shops and to Harlequin for a rummage round. [...]  |
