Feeling rosy: Ren, COS, Weleda and MAC

I never really get the fuss over Valentine’s Day, not least because I’m a miserable bastard, but it’s my birthday which means I neatly get to sidestep all the tacky gifts and overpriced flowers. It also means I can be the saviour of all my single/heartbroken/dead inside friends with a V-Day event that definitely isn’t [...]

In The Pink

When I was five I asked my mum if I could have Barbie wallpaper in my bedroom, I can still remember it now, screaming bright pink print with Barbie’s face and the logo plastered all over it. She let me have the vaguely less offensive princess wallpaper, complete with matching pink curtains, in the hope [...]

Things To Look Forward To In 2012 pt2

Here is part two, as I mentioned before Rachael has got 2K12 exhibs totally covered, but these are the ones that I personally want to see. Apologies if you don’t live in London, but hey! At least your taxes aren’t paying for the Olympics for the next few years amirite? LOL. Aside from the art-rants [...]

Gareth Pugh for MAC

Gareth Pugh’s collection for MAC hit stores yesterday, packaged in Pugh’s trademark triangular pattern. A first for the Sunderland born designer, it’s a mix of subdued nudes and brooding violets.

My money’s on the iridescent oil slick nail varnishes, perfect for winter nights.

Happy Halloween!

You’ll can spot me every Halloween, I’m usually the one with the grossest costume you can imagine. This year I took it down a notch and was a fairly sensible Columbo, but I can still never do fashion-Halloween. I loved putting together this outfit though, a stylish way to do spooky. MAC’s Rougemarie is the best faux-bloody shade I’ve used and looks good all year round.

My Summer Makeup Faves

This summer I’ve updated my makeup bag with some new purchases that have become essentials. I tend to the natural end of make-up, I’m not so interested in crazy colours, but more into looking like I’ve had a delicious 9 hours sleep, which is a rare occurance.

I don’t really wear foundation, but Aveda’s Inner Light tinted moisturiser is light enough to wear everyday and it has SPF. It’s non-greasy as well, so I can wear it and not get a sweaty mirror/forehead. Bonus. Benefit’s Porefessional is a bit of a miracle product, it’s a silicon based mattifier/pore refiner which gives an unreal soft focus glow to your skin.
