Substitute the skirt for a pair of jeans and you’ve got my everyday working from home outfit right there. Not to say that I’m in a rut or anything, but I’m wearing a lot of the same kind of stuff at the moment. Having a post-house move edited wardrobe, or what Fashionising are called the [...]
I’m starting to slog through some of the mammoth recaps from my holiday, here’s a little light one for you from sunny beautiful Mexico. It was so unreal to lounge around on empty white sand beaches, total paradise experience.
I get a kick out of trying lots of different beauty products on holiday, you hardly bother with makeup which makes a nice change. It’s refreshing to get out of your everyday routine, from work to beauty to outfits. I did end up wearing my 60s floral shorts pretty much every day with a variety of tiny tops for maximum tannage. Also, who knew a margharita straw makes a perfect snorkel?

I must confess Spanish online brand Medwinds had slipped under my radar, but when I was invited to the press day I immediately bonded with the brand. A lot of my wardrobe is vintage/car boot/charity shop, but worn all together I’d risk looking like a bit of a nutbag. This is where a label like Medwinds come in, their simple quality pieces are just the thing to offset a little vintage kook. I particularly fell in love with their handbags, the holy grail of quality leather, timeless design and reasonable price points that Spanish brands seem so good at and the UK high street hasn’t completely cottoned on to yet. Made in Italy, Medwinds bags come in clutch form, as well as purses, totes and satchel bags. In short the whole panoplie of everyday indispensable bags. Can you tell I’m on a bit of a ‘perfect bag’ hunt at the moment?
The clothes remind me of a pared-down wallet-friendly APC, their sweet Peter Pan collar shirts the perfect thing to team with a top-notch vintage print A-line skirt. Check out the awesome canapes btw, Spanish people really know how to do food…

This bank holiday I set off to Henley for a bit of charity-shopping and I managed to snag a real old-fashioned haul of joy. I’m talking banana-leg Margaret Howell chinos, Ferragamo heels and a lacy pair of ’90s slipper [...]
To celebrate Cannes festival Stella Artois have created a film about mythical character ‘Jacques D’Azur’. A chance to revel in good old-fashioned glamour, the film sees them take a look at the scene on the French south coast in the ’60s and the legend surrounding this archetypal playboy figure.
Stella asked me to put together [...]
Pringle jumper, charity shop skirt, charity shop bag, New Look timberskates, MAC pomegranate nail varnish.
I’m leaving you with this self-indulgent outfit post from the Giles show because I’m off for a weekend in Brighton to chillax and celebrate a birthday just as soon as I can finish packing my bag. Loving the gold [...]
This weekend one of my close friends got married, and as weird as I think weddings are this one was pretty cool. DJ on the gramaphone decks anyone? The bride wore a handmade yellow ra-ra dress, pretty special even without the yellow and white WAH mani. I’m not really sure what the beef is but [...]
Lucy Hutchings makes fantastic jewellery, so the ‘challenge’ part was minimal. The lovely My Wardrobe peeps lent me a Forrest & Bob fine knit vest top, but the necklace ended up looking so good over black that I teamed it with a simple t-shirt and charity shop maxi skirt. I’m also wearing the uwabaki my [...]
Next up in the My Wardrobe style challenge is Current Elliott’s Captain trousers, the looser alternative to the Houlihans I wore last week. They’re a trad chino colour and come pre-rolled for maximum casual chic. I teamed these with a stripy top, patent belt, mustard Kate Kanzier lace-ups and a trusty Uniqlo cardie. Going on [...]
Next up is the Sonia by Sonia Rykiel pom pom corsage jumper, it’s a whimsical, fun piece that got loads of comments, there wasn’t really anyone who didn’t like it. Can you blame them? There’s nothing like some pom poms to put a smile on your face and this jumper’s got me careering towards the [...]
