I’m a bit late to the Topshop AW10 party but here I am anyway with a few bottles of cheap white wine to keep things going for a little longer. I’ve made a pick of the lookbook, can’t say no to the pompom headband and the subtly polka dotted jeans. I also like what they done with simple grey jumper and denim shirt, that’s going to be a nice little outfit starter for winter. Checked waxed cotton cape, definitely yes, it’s the kind of thing that adds a touch of class to your look.
Onwards to the still images, cycling means I’m alsmost exclisively wearing shorts at the moment, and these two pairs are top of my wishlist. The slouchy silky pair are just the right combo of sporty and Palermo-style chic, and while I may have baulked at leather shorts for summer come winter there’s no reason why I wouldn’t wear a pair of the grey suede badyboys. The sheer panelled top is a nice wardrobe updater, you can easily add it to your current pieces. I loved the bralette tops at the press day and see them with an uber v-nkec fine knit jumper for winter.
Organic shapes abound with these two tops, the crunchy sequin thing is something I’m seeing a lot of for next season and it’s a step on from the everyday sequin pieces which were big last year. The leaf-vein top reminds me of some beautiful dresses Anna Wintour used to wear in the late ’90s or thereabouts, that were the veinous system or rats or something a little creepy like that.
Square bags, everyone’s going to be going nuts for them, me included probably, this nice oxblood version has got chain detailing, padlock, and tassels to boot. This crosstitch on jumper is something TS have done before, and I really like it. Also, are those two Scotty dogs holding up a crest? RIght?!
I’m on a total pleats ditty at the moment and these two pleated maxis are ticking the boxes, just sling on a jersey tube maxi underneath for warmth? Finallement, a cracking cape and some beautiful luxe muscle pants. I’m so happy the high street is getting into capes again, as I still haven’t found my perfect cape yet. Ah and these muscle pants are a perfect combo of gross and really rather fantastic, want to wear these with some well nah-ce shoe boots.
