Statement Trousers

Street style at London Fashion Week confirmed the statement trouser as the style choice for the workhorse crew. The fact that you’re wearing tailored trousers screams ‘I’m here for srs bizness!’ but choosing a pair with a wacked out print confirms your fashion credentials. Teamed with a jumper and heels it’s an easy peasy daytime look that is actually quite practical for this almost-spring weather and cleverly negates the need for a bare legs/tights debate.

Viviana Volpicella does the all-over pyjama look which is totally BOT but a bit hard to translate in the IRL world. Caroline Issa and Olivia Palermo both demonstrate effortless versions of this trend, Olivia’s Topshop trousers are pretty much sold out, but I’ve had a little scour to select my favourite floral and printed trews.

  • This is awesome. Love how this post is structured and couldn’t agree more about the statement trousers. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO WEAR – tailored crazy print trousers with a slouchy super soft knit (or T – if the weather permits)… some bad ass heels (that are walkable) or converse. Mwaahaha.

So great seeing you at fashion week! Wish we could have chatted for longer. Next time coffee/lunch/dinner please? xx

Yes! I am still on the hunt for my perfect printed trouser although those OC Pendletons might be my true trouser loves.

  • [...] this lot, loving the clear plastic and glitter heels, they’re just crying out to be worn with statement print trousers and a slouchy knit. Sharp heels coming back is music to my ears, there’s nothing better than [...]
