Sunday Sundries: Pett Level

Mega bumper Sunday Sundries today, ttly sry to overshare yeah? This is a super picture-heavy post but I just couldn’t whittle it down. I love getting out of London, the last time we went to Pett was December and going on a sunny May weekend was a completely different experience. We braved the sea for a swim, made lots of tasty food including some linguine with mussels caught from the sea ~omg~ visited Rye and Hastings and I even went for a run, who knew?

Apple sourdough bread is exactly what you want with black pudding.

Dip some apple slices in brown sugar and cook with the black pudding = <3

how do you make a gif
Children’s sunglasses bought in a gift shop in Hastings.

Love the fish shops in Hastings, the town has of the few sustainable fisheries in the UK #geekfact

Chip butty and haddock, best. My legs look like they belong to a Japanese rockabilly throwback.

Catching some LOLs on the beach.

Hand-picked mussels!

Mussel haul, stuff of dreams.

Just a bit of wine and garlic.

Snack squid before dinner.

Seafood linguine with swiss chard, broad beans and pecorino. Ridiculous.

Post-swim hands, purple and white ftw.

So happy to have my massive Boden towel.

Stupid 2nd day breakfast of liver, sausage, bacon, omelette, avo and challah bread. So unecessary.

Pre-breakfast run was definitely called for.

Love 60s printed glassware, chic to the next lev.

OLD STUFF!

Cinque ports history is fascinating, read more about it here

I think he’s called Jimmy.

I totally asked this couple if I could take their picture, I’m not some kind of weirdo.
