Silver Surfer

Every so often I get obsessed with finding the perfect version of something, be it the denim shirt, ankle boot or Carly Rae

Get It Off Your Text

The gladly defunct London Lite paper had a genius section called Get It Off Your Text, where a seemingly bonkers cross-section of Londoners could send their rants via the medium of SMS. This product selection is dedicated to you, you lovely bunch of nutters.

Getting It Off Their Texts here are Antoni & Alison with [...]

Tweed Boucle Jackets

Tweed or bouclé jackets never really went away, Chanel’s classic version has ensured that the nubbly trophy jacket is never far from the catwalk. This season though tweed jackets are really having a moment, tapping into the revamped retro trend. Nearly every high-street retailer and designer has produced a version for the season, so I [...]

ASOS & Nivea: win a capsule collection of dresses

ASOS & Nivea have teamed up with a capsule collection of black and white dresses to launch Nivea’s new deodorant. The LWD is this summer’s big hit and how nice is the black sheer ballet dress? Srsly, how nice? I’m getting it. Like the way ASOS are pairing it with turqoise brothel creepers, double love. [...]

Cheska’s maternity selection!

Fashion experts get my goat a little, I actually like people’s idiosyncrasies! When an old friend of mine asked to help find her some nice maternity clothes I couldn’t help but get a bit Gok Wan. When you’re cheggers your body is busy making a human so you don’t want to be faffing around, [...]

A Pick For Early Winter

This post is just Things That I Was Looking At When I Was Sick, nice huh? The no 6 clogs are totally winter inappropriate, but that’s exactly why I love them. The Mawi for Asos necklace is a no-brainer, instant posh-eriser for your everyday outfits. Frothy lace is another winter inappropriate or inattendu fabric, and [...]

On holiday on the Yangtze river with Nadav Kander

I came across these Nadav Kander pictures on Krisatomic and was a little bowled over. The colours, and washed out, humid atmosphere that you only seem to get in East Asia. Everything softly muted and slightly dulled.

It made me want to pick out a few clothes following this muted palette, with simple neutral pieces [...]

Maxi dress hunting

Despite my love of long I’ve yet to find my perfect maxi, I recently bought a nice and simple stripy high street one, but I’m looking for something with a little more edge. The fact is I don’t actually spend that much time shopping, preferring a leisurely trip to the charity shops or a quick [...]

Eva Fontanelli’s Manoush coat

It was this picture that started it all. A Sartorialist short, of course, of the Italian Stylist Eva Fontanelli. I must have looked at this picture a hundred times, everything about the outfit is just perfect. Her hair (is there a Eva Fontanelli hair thread on TFS? there should be!), the lacy tights and floaty [...]

Isabelle’s autumn mega shoe-lust round up

Autumn is here and with it the panicked search for a new season’s wardrobe. Every season it’s the same: “What the hell did I used to wear?”

After a few trips to the car boot, the charity shop, a spontaneous mission to H&M in High St Ken and a planned trip to COS as soon as the sales start I think I’ve got the clothes sorted. The shoes… Well that’s a whole other matter. Having accepted that I don’t really wear heels (wore some today) and that ballet pumps are a bit dull (wearing some now) the shoe-choices are a little more limited. Especially as being a real grown up I have to look smart but without the universal domination properties of heels you have to choose your footwear carefully.
