Slightly late but special London Fashion Week sundries for you, been buzzing around like mad for LFW and my upcoming New York – Mexico LOL HOL (laughter holiday, duh). I always dread LFW and then once I’m there I really enjoy it. It’s great to IRL catch up with the lovely bloggers who I usually only see on the internet.

I SWEAR to god that the cat jewellery at Topshop looked exactly like Seymour the cat from Rude Dog and the Dweebs. For those of you that don’t know, Rude Dog is a ’90s cartoon based on a clothing line, I don’t even know if it had a plot.

Backstage at Daks, some last-minute adjustments and Stephanie from Stylist with the famous Stylist dog! He looked totally blogged out. I hear you little man.

I’m dubbing Wang Yu’s hoodie my ‘dream freelance cape’, imagine nipping to the shops in that and some leggings. Uh-huh-mazing.

Topshop Shalebrity front row was ridic, is there anyone seated in that row who isn’t famous? Points for anyone who can name every single person. Also, Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles were sat together and looked so cute.

Sparkle + cycle safety. My trusty old bike has been so useful for nipping around all the LFW venues, love you bike!

London Fashion Week SS11 day two

London Fashion Week started today for me, as I had a full-on few days back at work after getting my wisdom teeth removed. I say full-on, I mean I went in doing my best impression of Casper the friendly ghost and left early to collapse into bed.

Daks was the refreshing morning hit my senses needed and fit in perfectly with the sunshine. I jumped into a cab with an old school friend & Disneyrollergirl to Louise Gray, streamer filled plastic dress omg. I then grabbed some breakfast and downed some painkillers and chatted with Seb and Laura. I had just about enough stamina for Topshop Unique, which is handy because the queue was long and I was swaying in the breeze. I eventually made it in and just about nabbed a little corner from where I could observe the space age Stevie Nicks shenanigans and Grace Coddington hair. Then I must confess I went straight to bed and got some much-needed sleep! I’m kind of enjoying the truncated LFW, it means I’m getting snippets without any danger of getting the bi-annual LFW cold.

Hot trend: both Lorraine Candy and Jane Bruton turned up with their children in tow, they might take up space on the front row but boy they were cute!

Daks skirt suede tabs

It’s my birthday today, so I’ve decided to only do blog posts from bed, drinking Jing Earl Grey and scoffing sea salted caramel chocolates. Mmhmm! As you may know I’m a seasoned charity shopper, but I picked this skirt on one of my many lunchtime trips to Bang Bang. It’s from Daks and the quality is unbelievable. The florals are pretty and watercolour-y and I can’t wait to wear it in summer with bare legs and my pale suede lace ups. Something I noticed when I put the skirt on is four little suede patches sewn onto the waistband. I’ve deduced that they’re to stop the skirt twisting round when you wear it, attention to detail on a level like that is just mind blowing and kind of makes me want to cry! I’m always amazed when I come across things like this, and it reminds me that I have clothes-making skills I should be using. Also, for the sewing geeks, the hemming on the skirt is AMAZING, near invisible.
