At my local library there was a woman who used to have an ultra-long thick french plait, and she sported a heady combo of round glasses, plastic jewellery, Laura Ashley dresses layered with waistcoats and low court shoes. This set of portraits of LSE librarians from the [...] Ducie invited me to their studio in Kensal Rise, Ducie (the person) is a total expert at storytelling, I initially only wanted to spend an hour but stayed for much longer listening to the story of the label over cups of tea. Nothing like a good yarn! Ducie and her partner Dan in Portobello, started [...] This Christmas I received some amazing presents, really thoughtful and so exciting. Last night Arcadia held a press day for bloggers and online press, with a dress up room and photo studio so bloggers could try on clothes and pose for pictures. It was a really packed event, with fashion royalty like Susie from Style Bubble, and Richard Mortimer from Ponystep (excitement!) The atmosphere was really upbeat and festive, and there was a whole host of Arcadia PRs to chat to.
After a cracking performance at this year’s Glastonbury I caught up with vintage queen VV Brown to ask her a few questions about her music, her style and her new shop. You’re quite statuesque, has it affected the way you dress?  |
